The next generation US Passport and other North American document design initiatives

The Department of State, working with other federal partners, is in the process of redesigning the U.S. ePassport and the Visa. Ms Wilson will discuss the current status of both programs, and the future of U.S. document design and related research initiatives.

Biography

Michelle Wilson is currently a Document Design Officer with the U.S. Department of State. A graduate of the University of Michigan with a concentration in Biochemistry, she began her career as a chemist for Jetrion, LLC formulating drop-on-demand inkjet inks. In 2005, she joined the Government Publishing Office as a Chemist. In 2009, she joined the U.S. Department of State and has worked on the Next Generation U.S. Passport, Passport Card, Border Crossing Card, and Consular Report of Birth Abroad.
